Job summary

Gensler in Washington, DC seeks a Technical Designer to support hospitality projects, blending design excellence, technical rigor and strategic thinking to deliver functional and experiential spaces.

You will collaborate with architects and designers, develop renderings and drawings using Rhino, Revit, Grasshopper, Enscape and AI tools, and contribute through construction administration and coordination with consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in commercial design.
• Proficiency with Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, Enscape and AI for parametric design.
• Proficiency with SketchUp and Vectorworks preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning and construction techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Architects and Interior Designers to develop design solutions.
• Develop renderings, drawings, details, and diagrams using Rhinoceros 3D, Revit, Grasshopper, Enscape and AI tools.
• Produce technical documentation and communicate project progress to the team.
• Design and deliver functional and aesthetic spaces for Hospitality projects.
• Support all phases from conceptual design to construction administration.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Participate in construction administration and site visits.
