Title: Hospitality Systems Product Manager

Location: South Florida; Periodic Travel to The Bahamas

Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Compensation: $140,000–$160,000 target salary upon conversion

Position Overview

Phoenix Staff is seeking a Hospitality Systems Product Manager to serve as a business and systems expert across a complex hospitality reservation and revenue ecosystem. This role is focused on the operational and business side of hospitality technology rather than software development or highly technical implementation. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands‑on knowledge of hotel property management and reservation systems and understands how room inventory, rates, distribution channels, OTAs, travel agents, revenue management, reservations, and related applications work together. This individual will evaluate how systems are configured and used, identify opportunities to simplify or automate processes, and help business teams get greater value from existing technology. The Hospitality Systems Product Manager will partner closely with Revenue Management, Channel Management, Reservations, Call Center operations, IT, and other stakeholders. Periodic travel to The Bahamas is required, typically for approximately one week every couple of months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and business partner for systems supporting property management, reservations, revenue management, channel management, distribution, and call center operations.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of current application configurations and their impact on daily hospitality operations.
  • Evaluate how rates, room types, inventory, packages, and related data move between property management systems, reservation platforms, OTAs, travel agents, and other distribution channels.
  • Guide business teams on effective configuration and use of existing hospitality applications.
  • Analyze manual, repetitive, or overly complex processes and identify opportunities for simplification or automation.
  • Develop approaches that allow configurations or changes to be implemented efficiently across multiple channels rather than requiring duplicate effort.
  • Assess workflows involving rate changes, room configurations, distribution requirements, reservations, and related activities and recommend process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to replace workarounds and outdated processes through better use of existing technology or alternative solutions.
  • Act as an internal knowledge resource for applications supporting the full reservation lifecycle.
  • Research system capabilities, functionality, and potential solutions in response to operational business needs.
  • Partner with IT teams and technology vendors while representing business and operational requirements.
  • Bridge knowledge gaps between business users and the technical teams responsible for supporting hospitality systems.
  • Promote continuous improvement by challenging inefficient processes and identifying more scalable, effective ways to support hospitality operations.
Qualifications
  • Significant hands‑on experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS/LMS) and the broader reservation technology ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of hotel reservations, room inventory, rates, distribution, OTAs, travel agents, and channel management.
  • Experience supporting functions such as Revenue Management, Reservations, Channel Management, Call Center operations, or similar hospitality teams.
  • Ability to understand complex system configurations and evaluate their impact on operational processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify manual or inefficient workflows and determine opportunities for streamlining or automation.
  • Ability to research available functionality and solutions and recommend practical improvements based on business needs.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate with business users, leadership, IT teams, and technology vendors.
  • Ability to combine hospitality business knowledge with sufficient technical understanding to determine how technology should support operational requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically to The Bahamas, generally for approximately one week every couple of months.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience within a large resort, hotel, casino resort, or similarly complex hospitality environment.
  • Experience with HBSI.
  • Experience with iDeaS revenue management solutions.
  • Experience with Agilysys Reserve or comparable reservation platforms.
  • Experience with InfoGenesis.
  • Experience with other major hotel PMS/LMS, reservation, revenue management, or channel management platforms.
  • Strong experience with PMS/LMS platforms is the primary systems priority, with Reserve or comparable reservation platform experience also highly valued, followed by InfoGenesis experience.
  • Previous experience in roles such as Product Manager, Business Relationship Manager, Hospitality Systems Manager, Application Manager, Revenue Systems Leader, or Senior Hospitality Systems Analyst.
