Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• 2 years related hospitality/service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Collaborative and ethical work conduct.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient with POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a smile and maintain eye contact.
• Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel.
• Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the company’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness.
• Demonstrate expert understanding of the sequence of service and follow it for every guest.
• Must possess full knowledge of menu items, ingredients and preparation techniques.
• Possess expert knowledge of the POS system to correctly coordinate guest orders.
• Clear, mark and take ownership of table maintenance and resetting.
• Anticipate guest needs, including pre-bussing, re-orders, checks and payments, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Follows alcohol awareness procedures and policies.
• Receive payment for all items, handle cash, distribute gratuity appropriately.
• Assist coworkers in any task to ensure a great environment for guests and coworkers.
• Possess expert knowledge of all food and beverage aspects of the restaurant.
• Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings.
