Job summary

AHC Hospitality is seeking a Security Officer for the Amway Grand Plaza on the 1st shift in Grand Rapids, MI. The role is full-time with weekend availability and offers full benefits, 401(k), and employee discounts.

Responsibilities include protecting guests and assets, responding to incidents, enforcing security procedures, and maintaining effective communication with hotel departments. Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant security experience; MI driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Michigan Driver's License with 3 points or less.
• Must be able to walk and stand for upwards of 8 hours.
• Must be able to ride a bicycle for patrol during warmer months.
• Must be able to read and write reports.

Responsibilities

• Protects and safeguards guests, associates, belongings and assets.
• Responds to emergency and non-emergency requests professionally.
• Ensure efficient operation of the Security department.
• Provide gracious hospitality and adhere to policies and standards.
• Perform daily hazard inspections, patrols and complete reports.
• Be familiar with PMS, Saflok, security and fire systems.
