Job summary

Cambria College Park Hotel in College Park, Maryland, is seeking a highly organized Sales Coordinator to join our hospitality team. This role supports the Sales Department by managing inquiries, coordinating activities, and ensuring seamless booking execution.

The Sales Coordinator will handle client inquiries, coordinate rooms-only groups, and maintain client relationships through effective communication and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales, event planning, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
• Hands-on team member who is actively involved in daily hotel operations.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
• Proactive, positive attitude with a customer-first approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Delphi and Fosse is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in Hospitality, Event Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Sales Department as assigned.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all rooms-only groups following sales turnover.
• Maintain hotel reader boards displaying in-house meetings and events; update daily.
• Answer telephones, take phone leads, take and refer messages, and return calls in a timely manner.
• Maintain inventory and organization of office supplies.
• Manage hotel reservations for the Sales Department as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
• Assist with communication and coordination between the Sales Department and hotel operations.
• Maintain a professional and positive relationship with clients, guests, and fellow team members.
• Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including those contained in the employee handbook.
