Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Boston is offering a Sales & Marketing Intern position to gain hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operations of a hotel’s Sales, Revenue Management, Events, and Marketing teams. Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Must reside in the market.
• College coursework in related field.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels of employees and guests.
• Able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone and email messages. Respond accordingly.
• Maintain and stay abreast of the latest computer programs/innovations (as applicable).
• Responsible for assisting in a smooth operation of the office.
• Greet guests/clients/employees when necessary.
• Attend meetings/training as required by management.
• Distribute BEO’s daily change log, resume, site events, event guarantees if requested
• Take inquiries and distribute
• Work with Delphi FDC and Opera
