Job summary

Concord Hospitality in Durham, NC is seeking a Purchasing Clerk who will manage food and supply inventories, process deliveries, and maintain accurate records to support safe, high-quality operations across our hotels.

You will collaborate with vendors and internal teams to post invoices, reconcile shipping documents, and monitor PAR levels. Emphasis on FIFO, traceability, and efficient stock rotation ensures service standards across all properties.

Qualifications

• Prior purchasing, inventory, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to use computer systems and point-of-sale technology.
• Knowledge of food safety and handling standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Calculate figures for inventories, orders, and costs.
• Maintain clear and organized records; file and store reports and invoices properly.
• Post invoices using computer programs and reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports.
• Conduct inventory audits to determine levels and needs; complete requisition forms for supplies.
• Verify and track received inventory; refuse damaged or incorrect items and oversee return processes.
