The ideal candidate has an associate's or bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or related field, plus prior paralegal or legal assistant experience.

Qualifications

• Education in Legal Studies or related field preferred.
• Experience as legal assistant or paralegal preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Visio, and legal document management software.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain legal and corporate files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Draft and update structure charts using Visio and other software.
• Keep and manage contract files and records, ensuring timely updates.
• Track outstanding legal issues and action items, providing regular updates.
• Maintain corporate records, including annual and other legal resolutions.
• Monitor and track insurance claims and employee claims, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Track and update litigation lists and insurance claim statuses.
• Review and summarize legal documents for internal use.
• Prepare and type legal documents and correspondence as needed.
