Job summary

On the River Inn in Woodstock, VT seeks a high-energy operations leader to elevate guest experiences across a 45-room property, 506 Bistro & Bar, and events. Lead weddings, retreats, meetings, and celebrations from planning through final billing, partnering with the General Manager to grow the business and culture.

You will oversee front desk, housekeeping, and F&B operations, drive service standards, manage staff, and ensure flawless execution of events and group bookings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hospitality operations experience
• Experience leading weddings, banquets or catered events
• Strong front office, housekeeping, F&B and group/event execution knowledge
• Proven ability to develop hourly teams and raise service standards
• Experience managing a busy restaurant, bar or F&B outlet including cost control

Responsibilities

• Own events from booking to final billing and follow-up.
• Translate BEOs, timelines, menus and room blocks into clear plans for every department.
• Lead pre-event briefings and direct setup, service and breakdown.
• Serve as onsite client contact for weddings, meetings, group stays and private dining.
• Make real-time decisions when plans change (weather, timing, requests).
• Coordinate vendors and outside partners and debrief after each event.
• Oversee banquet and catering service including staffing, room setups and bar timing.
• Run multiple events and group stays simultaneously while keeping operations smooth.
• Build a reputation for flawless weddings and events that drive referrals and repeat business.
