Job summary

Performance Hospitality Management is seeking an Engineer I for the B Ocean Resort in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This full-time role maintains mechanical and electrical systems, performs preventive maintenance, and ensures life safety compliance.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting HVAC/plumbing, pool maintenance, and responding to guest requests while upholding PHM standards and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade/vocational certificate preferred.
• 2+ years in hotel/resort or commercial building maintenance/engineering.
• Basic HVAC, plumbing and electrical knowledge; general mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical or electrical systems in the hotel.
• Service pool and maintain pool chemicals and equipment.
• Respond to guest questions and maintain high guest satisfaction.
• Maintain exterior and curb appeal; assist with preventive tasks.
• Coordinate with department heads to address maintenance needs.
• Supervise and train staff; support performance evaluations.
