Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a dedicated Steward to keep kitchens clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards across restaurants, banquets, catering, and events.

You will work as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment, performing dishwashing, storage, waste removal, and equipment upkeep while supporting Culinary and Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible morning/day shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Experience in stewarding, dishwashing, kitchen, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality and kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization across kitchens, dish areas, storage rooms, banquet spaces, and back-of-house operations.
• Support kitchen and banquet teams by ensuring clean equipment and supplies are available during service periods.
• Assist with waste removal, recycling, and deep cleaning tasks while maintaining sanitation standards.
• Operate dishwashing machines and stewarding equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow food safety regulations, sanitation standards, HACCP guidelines, OSHA requirements, and hotel safety procedures.
