Job summary

The Setai in Miami Beach is seeking an Area Director of Information Technology to oversee IT across multiple properties. This executive role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management of systems, cybersecurity, vendor relations, and operations.

You will drive technology roadmaps, ensure high availability, and align IT with guest experience and compliance requirements, while mentoring regional teams and partnering with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including multi-property or enterprise environments.
• Hospitality, luxury hotels, or service-driven environments strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hotel systems (PMS, POS, access control, CCTV).
• Experience with cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with company and property goals.
• Plan and manage IT budgets, capital expenditures, and technology roadmaps.
• Oversee daily IT operations across all properties and ensure high availability of systems.
• Manage hotel systems including PMS, POS, HRIS, timekeeping, access control, CCTV, and guest-facing technologies.
• Lead technology projects including system upgrades, implementations, and property openings.
• Mentor on-site and regional IT teams and provide escalation support.
• Partner with executive leadership, HR, Finance, Operations, and Security; report on performance and risks.
