Job summary

Ponte Winery in Temecula, CA is seeking an HR Specialist to provide hands-on support for daily HR functions, including hiring, employee relations, benefits administration, workers’ compensation, and associate inquiries across all five entities.

The role covers open enrollment, ADP management, and coordination with Payroll, with a Monday–Friday schedule and standard business hours. Join a dedicated team in a multi-entity winery group.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field.
• 3+ years HR experience required.
• SHRM-CP preferred.
• Maintain confidentiality in all personnel matters.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits programs and enrollments.
• Ensure ACA compliance and 1095-C data readiness.
• Serve as primary contact for benefits inquiries and 401(k) questions.
• Oversee new hire processes: background checks, onboarding, I-9, paperwork.
• Process and maintain employee records in ADP; manage status changes.
• Coordinate with Payroll on verifications and garnishments.
• Supervise HR Coordinator and HR Recruiter.
• Assist HR Manager with employee relations and recruitment.
• Coordinate separations, final pay, and file closures.
• Handle legal documents and subpoenas when applicable.
• Assist with HR-related projects and initiatives.
