Job summary

Valencia Hotel Group in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced HR professional to manage all areas of HR administration for Hotel Valencia Santana Row. This exempt full-time role reports to the General Manager with a dotted line to the Corporate Director of Human Resources and offers the opportunity to shape policies, procedures, and employee relations across the property.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in Human Resources, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 3 years experience in hotel HR or related area.
• 4-year bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 3 years experience in hotel HR or related area.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, selection and onboarding of management and hourly employees; processing and finalizing new hires into the system.
• Assist with development and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Benefits and salary administration.
• Assist with training and development of management and hourly employees.
• Assist managers in lowering attrition.
• Administer Workers’ Compensation claims and Workplace Safety.
• Maintain an employee and labor relations program to ensure fair and consistent treatment.
