Job summary

Yokozuna Benton is seeking a part-time host/hostess to welcome guests, manage seating, and maintain a clean, efficient front-of-house area.

You will assist with reservations, answer phones, and support the dining team to ensure a seamless guest experience in a busy restaurant environment.

• Previous experience in a host or customer service role preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, welcoming attitude as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
• Ensure the efficient seating of guests based on availability and party size.
• Maintain an organized and accurate waiting list, ensuring guests are seated in a timely manner.
• Communicate with the front-of-house team (servers, bartenders, etc.) to ensure a smooth dining experience.
• Assist in answering phones and taking reservations or providing information about the menu and restaurant.
• Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and requests with professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Assist in light administrative tasks, including taking to-go orders and helping with the flow of service.
