Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality is seeking a General Manager to oversee front-of-house operations in a high-volume New York venue. You will lead guest services, supervise staff, and collaborate with the Executive Chef to ensure a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities include interviewing and training new applicants, managing scheduling and development, and maintaining quality, safety, and profitability across all FOH functions. Strong leadership and financial acumen are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years hospitality experience in a GM or senior management role.
• Two-year associate degree in Hospitality, Business, or equivalent.
• Strong guest service foundation, ability to coach, build a team, problem solve, and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated financial acumen with P&L, budgets, forecasting, COGS, and labor models.
• Organized, self-motivated, and proactive with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient with computers (Microsoft) and POS technologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front-of-house operations and daily team members.
• Interview, hire, and train new applicants.
• Oversee scheduling, growth opportunities, and team development.
• Conduct performance reviews with the Director of Operations.
• Ensure quality, safety, beverage accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.
• Lead opening/closing procedures and supervise service events.
• Maintain payroll, inventory, and purchasing knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with Health Dept standards and company policies.
