Swickard Auto Group in Anchorage is seeking a General Sales Manager to lead our high‑volume, hospitality‑first dealerships. You will own the variable operations, oversee new and pre‑owned performance, and ensure every guest experience reflects our service standards.

The ideal GSM has proven leadership at a senior desk level, strong CRM and digital retail skills, and a track record of coaching managers and sales staff.

Qualifications

• Proven GSM or senior desk manager experience at a high-volume store.
• Exhibits a Hospitality Quotient with kindness, optimism, curiosity, work ethic, empathy.
• Leads with clarity, preparation, and accountability.
• Deep experience with digital retail, CRM, appointment setting, and follow-up.
• Strong instincts around inventory, pricing, and market dynamics.
• Proven ability to build and develop sales teams.
• Guest-first mindset aligned with hospitality-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Variable Operations Leadership with P&L for New, Pre-Owned, Digital Retail, and F&I.
• People Development: grow desk managers, BDC leaders, and sales advisors.
• Implement Swickard process: appointment prep, rapid lead response, CRM discipline.
• Inventory strategy: allocation, used-car pricing, trade appraisals.
• Cross-department synergy with Fixed Ops for hand-offs and guest relationships.
• Brand reputation and market presence aligned with integrity and long-term relationships.
• KPIs: volume, front/back gross, digital close rates, lead response times, CSI/NPS.
