Highgate Hotels is seeking a dedicated Accountant to lead financial operations for our Key West property. You will focus on profitability, timely reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance to safeguard assets.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in hotel accounting. You will work with the finance team to ensure accurate performance metrics and robust financial planning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in hotel accounting or a related field or a 4-year degree with concentration in Accounting/Finance and 2+ years of related experience; or a 2-year degree with 4+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing; able to operate hotel accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead cash flow management and timely cash flow statements; manage receivables, payables, and deposits.
• Monitor revenues/expenses; analyze variances and propose improvements.
• Assist capital planning; evaluate scope, bids, and asset maintenance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and internal controls across processes.
• Prepare periodic financial statements, forecasts, and key metrics.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate reports.
• Oversee payroll, purchasing, and sensitive financial records; train associates.

Education

4-year college degree in Accounting/Finance

2-year college degree with 4+ years related experience
