Job summary

Restaurant 604 in Hawaii is seeking a dedicated server to ensure courteous, prompt service and a seamless dining experience for guests. You will coordinate the serving station, communicate with front and back‑of‑house teams, and process orders so items are prepared accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a positive attendance record by reporting to work for assigned shifts 10 minutes prior to scheduled time, switching and finding replacements for no more than 5% of scheduled shifts, following company time off and illness procedures, and having a 0% no call/no show record.
• Follows all sanitation and safety standards set forth by the company.
• Meets all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified in the employee handbook.
• Maintains our guest service philosophy by following guest service standards.
• Knows all menu items offered at the restaurant. Explains specials to guests. Answers questions about preparation method, ingredients, portion size, and side items. Specifies substitutions when asked.
• Observes table numbering procedures and works assigned section 100% of the time.
• Conducts a first greet with guests within 2 minutes after seated. Takes orders if time permits, or informs guests that they will return within 3 minutes to assist them.
• Performs menu merchandising procedures by listing and explaining the specials, suggesting items, and upselling when appropriate.
• Takes beverage and food orders accurately for all tables. Has less than 2% return of food to kitchen due to order mistakes.
• Legibly completes guest checks and enters orders into the POS system with 100% accuracy.
• Picks up orders and completes plate preparation correctly as specified by company plating procedures.
• Performs check‑back procedures with tables within 2 minutes of receiving appetizers, main course, and dessert course.
• Totals and presents checks and carries out payment procedures with 100% accuracy.
• Performs side‑work duties correctly as specified.
• Follows all end‑of‑shift checkout procedures with 100% accuracy.
• Follows the alcohol serving procedures in regard to beverage service standards, awareness standards, and government regulations with 100% accuracy.
• Busses, sets and resets tables following company procedures within 3 minutes of guests leaving their tables.
• Maintains a good team environment by assisting other team members with their station duties and side‑work when there is a need and/or when available.
• Follows tip reporting regulations 100% of the time by keeping track of daily tips and following reporting procedures outlined by the Internal Revenue Service.
