Job summary

Ralph’s American Grill is seeking a friendly Restaurant Host to greet guests, manage reservations and waitlists, and coordinate seating for an efficient dining flow. You will help maintain Ralph’s hospitality standards and ensure guests feel welcomed from arrival to departure.

Ideal candidates bring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required to support restaurant operations.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
• Manage the waitlist and reservations using the restaurant’s seating system.
• Escort guests to tables while maintaining an organized seating rotation.
• Provide menus and communicate daily specials or relevant information.
• Maintain awareness of table status and coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth service flow.
• Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist with takeout orders when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
• Thank guests as they depart and invite them to return.
• Support the service team as needed to maintain efficient operations.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
