Job summary

Compass Group USA's FLIK Hospitality Group seeks a Hospitality & Catering Intern in McLean, VA for Summer 2027. This paid program offers hands-on exposure to events, dining service, and catering support within a leading food service and hospitality organization.

Interns work 20–40 hours per week, gain mentor guidance, and participate in learning modules via LMS/WebEx/Zoom/Teams. Dress code includes uniforms and meals provided at select locations.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a college/university pursuing a Hospitality Management and/or Culinary Arts degree.
• Meet university GPA requirements for Internship.
• Available to work 20–40 hours per week during internship.
• Program runs Summer 2027: May 2027–August 2027.
• Paid internship with a set pay rate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up and closing events or dining halls.
• Cashier functions and guest service tasks.
• Support catering events and arrange buffet stations.
• Assist with signage, decorations, and marketing tasks.
• Provide consistently friendly and courteous service to guests.
• Adhere to Platinum service standards and company policies.
