Job summary

Compass Group USA's FLIK Hospitality Internship Program is a paid program offering hospitality students hands-on experience across Stamford, Norwalk, and Manhattan, learning under mentors in a leading food service and hospitality organization.

Rotate through roles, gain exposure to events, catering, and front-of-house operations, and develop skills in guest service, marketing support, and standards compliance during a 20–40 hour weekly commitment.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a college/university pursuing Hospitality Management and/or Culinary Arts degree.
• Meet university GPA requirement for Internship.
• Successful completion of Intro to Hospitality coursework.
• Must be available to work 20–40 hours per week based on business needs & internship requirements.
• College credit is not required, but we will provide appropriate documentation if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Set up and/or closing events or dining halls.
• Cashier functions, coffee/barista and welcoming guests.
• Provide consistently friendly and courteous service to guests.
• Support catering events by setting up, arranging buffet stations, ensuring customer satisfaction and managing cleanup.
• Assist with marketing tasks, including signage, seasonal decorations, and food holiday communications.
• Adhere to “platinum service” customer service standards.
• Review catering and front-of-house standards.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and client expectations.
