Job summary

Millennium Durham is seeking a Convention Sales Manager to deliver exceptional guest experiences while driving group and event business. You will lead planning calls, coordinate with Banquets, Culinary, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and AV, and be on-site for key functions in Durham, NC.

The role requires 2+ years in hotel events or convention services, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple events with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in hotel events or convention services.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Experience juggling multiple events and flexible hours.
• Bonus: familiarity with Delphi/FDC, Opera, and Durham market.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned groups/events from turnover to completion.
• Lead client planning calls and produce clear event documents.
• Coordinate with Banquets, Culinary, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security and AV.
• Be on-site for key functions, handle changes quickly, maintain service levels.
• Support site inspections and local outreach to businesses and planners.
• Track leads/follow-ups in CRM and identify rebooking opportunities.
• Demonstrate hospitality passion and exceptional service.
