Job summary

Gale Hotels is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations across our hospitality properties. You will supervise staff, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and lead month-end close and budgeting activities.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate with property leadership. Weekly site visits and collaboration with the CFO and property teams are expected to ensure accurate reporting and compliant controls across locations.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English and Spanish communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all accounting staff including accounts payable/receivable and compliance.
• Prepare and review daily and monthly journal entries.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and bank statements.
• Maintain recording of fixed assets for all locations.
• Perform month-end duties and budgeting/forecasting with property.
• Analyze P&L and variances to Budget and Last Year.
• Conduct KPI analysis and report results for performance improvements.
