Job summary

Gale Hotel Miami is seeking a Controller with hospitality accounting experience to oversee general accounting operations for our properties. You will lead journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close while guiding budgeting and forecasting activities.

You will engage with property leadership, attend weekly meetings, and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with GAAP. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 4–6 years accounting/finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Supervise accounting staff across AP/AR, inventory, and compliance.
• Prepare and review daily/monthly journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews, posting, and discrepancy resolution.
• Manage fixed assets records for all locations and asset capitalization.
• Lead month-end close, including variance analysis vs. Budget and Last Year.
• Oversee budgeting/forecasting with property leadership and KPI reporting.
