Job summary

Gale Hotels in Miami, FL seeks a Controller with hospitality accounting expertise to oversee general accounting for multiple properties. You will supervise staff, review journal entries, and ensure GAAP compliance while guiding budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysis across the portfolio.

You will regularly engage with property leadership, participate in audits, and improve internal controls to drive accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 4–6 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise accounting staff across inventory, AP, AR and compliance.
• Prepare and review journal entries daily and monthly.
• Reconcile balance sheets and bank statements; ensure GAAP compliance.
• Maintain fixed assets records for all locations.
• Support month-end close and quarterly inventory spot checks.
• Analyze P&L with property partners and compare to Budget and LY.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes with property teams.
• Perform KPI analysis and communicate findings for performance improvements.
• Understand and implement internal control procedures.
