Job description

The Hospitality Manager is responsible for overseeing the provision of exceptional guest experiences and managing various hospitality services within and around the facility. This includes hiring and supervising staff, event planning and management, and other related functions. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate event schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design, organize, and execute events, from small gatherings to large-scale functions.
2. Manage all aspects of events, including venue selection, vendor coordination, budgeting, marketing, and logistics.
3. Assist in hiring, training, and managing hospitality staff, including staff development and disciplinary actions.
4. Manage employee schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
5. Coordinate with facilities and sports management for hospitality services during practices, tournaments, and events, including obtaining necessary permits.
6. Establish and maintain standards for customer service and guest experience.
7. Oversee concession stands, ensuring cleanliness, proper food preparation, and inventory management.
8. Perform daily duties such as opening/closing, taking orders, and maintaining cleanliness.
9. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
10. Ensure high-quality service, cost management, and guest satisfaction.
11. Enforce health and safety regulations.
12. Monitor and adjust concessions menu based on consumer trends.
13. Keep ServSafe and food handler licenses current for staff.
14. Manage liquor licenses and relationships with food and beverage vendors.
15. Work with finance staff to manage financial reporting for food, beverage, and events.
16. Oversee concession area maintenance, including seating areas.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality management or related field.
• Experience in event management.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and regulations.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, squat, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Work may be outdoors in various weather conditions and involve exposure to noise and manual labor.

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000/year
