Job Summary

The Hospitality Manager is responsible for overseeing the provision of exceptional guest experiences and managing the various hospitality services within and around the facility. This position ensures the highest level of guest satisfaction through effective management of hospitality operations and events at Paragon Star. Responsibilities include hiring and supervising staff, event planning and management, and related functions. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate event schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, organize, and execute various events, from small gatherings to large-scale events.
  • Manage all aspects of events, including venue selection, vendor coordination, budgeting, marketing, and on-site logistics.
  • Assist in hiring and managing hospitality staff, including training, staff development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage employee schedules and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Coordinate with facilities and sports management to plan hospitality services for practices, tournaments, and events, including obtaining permits.
  • Establish and maintain standards for customer service and guest experience.
  • Manage concession stand operations, maintaining cleanliness and order.
  • Oversee daily duties like opening/closing, taking orders, preparing food and beverages, and cleanliness.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Ensure high-quality service, cost management, and guest satisfaction.
  • Enforce health and safety rules.
  • Monitor and adjust concessions menu based on consumer trends.
  • Keep ServSafe and food handler licenses up to date for staff.
  • Manage liquor licenses and relationships with food and beverage vendors.
  • Work with accounting to manage financial reporting for food, beverage, and events.
  • Maintain concession area and seating.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience

Minimum of 3+ years in hospitality management or related field. Event management experience required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Strong leadership, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and regulations.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, squat, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Work in all weather conditions and high noise levels, with potential need for hearing protection. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.

Salary

$70,000 - $85,000/year
