Job summary

South Seas Resort, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, is seeking an Accounting Generalist to support daily accounting operations on Captiva Island, Florida. You will manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, bank reconciliations, and general ledger tasks in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree and at least two years of accounting experience, proficiency in Excel and accounting software, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience; hospitality industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger functions.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Understanding of basic payroll principles.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have experience using Excel; creating and formatting spreadsheets; using basic formulas; sorting and filtering data.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely; verify approvals and coding.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies; prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments.
• Monitor guest and group billing accounts; process payments and deposits; assist with collections.
