Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical program.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as hospitalist and leadership role in group practice.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Clinical Nurse Manager to assess progress on goals and physician engagement.
• Champion meaningful change and develop new processes to improve efficiency and patient care.
• Communicate feedback among physicians, nursing staff, patients and administration in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
• Review long length of stay patients with the Clinical Nurse Manager to disposition with attending physicians when possible.
• Assist with Joint Commission readiness efforts.
• Facilitate triage of patients to promote flow and follow-up planning after discharge.
