Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group is seeking a Hospitalist Physician to provide comprehensive inpatient, longitudinal care across Southeast Virginia, including Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Suffolk.

The position offers a competitive hiring range of $300,000–$380,000 with performance incentives, signing bonus, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits. J1 visa support is available for limited positions, and Epic EMR is used across all hospitals.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Hospitalist team collaboration and inpatient care experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients admitted to the hospital, obtain histories, perform exams, and develop initial treatment plans.
• Manage acute medical conditions, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and adjust treatment as patients progress.
• Conduct daily rounds, reassess patients, review lab and imaging results.
• Determine when patients are medically ready for discharge.
• Hospitals vary with open and closed ICUs.

In this Role:

As a Hospitalist Physician, you will provide comprehensive, longitudinal patient-centered care in an inpatient setting while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team.

• Evaluate patients admitted to the hospital, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and develop an initial treatment plan

• Manage acute medical conditions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and adjust treatment based on the patient's progress

• Conduct daily rounds, reassess patients, review laboratory and imaging results

• Determine when patients are medically ready for discharge

• Hospitals vary with open and closed ICU's
