Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group in Coastal Virginia is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join our Hospitalist team across five local hospitals in Southeast Virginia, including Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk and Suffolk.

J1 Visa support is available for limited positions. We offer a competitive compensation package with performance incentives, comprehensive benefits, 401K, signing bonus, relocation allowance, and malpractice tail coverage.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients admitted to the hospital, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and develop an initial treatment plan
• Manage acute medical conditions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and adjust treatment based on the patient's progress
• Conduct daily rounds, reassess patients, review laboratory and imaging results
• Determine when patients are medically ready for discharge
• Hospitals vary with open and closed ICU's

In this Role:

As a Hospitalist Physician, you will provide comprehensive, longitudinal patient-centered care in an inpatient setting while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team.

• Evaluate patients admitted to the hospital, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and develop an initial treatment plan

• Manage acute medical conditions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and adjust treatment based on the patient's progress

• Conduct daily rounds, reassess patients, review laboratory and imaging results

• Determine when patients are medically ready for discharge
