Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group is a progressive, independent, multi-specialty, physician-led group serving the Hampton Roads. We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join our Hospitalist team in Southeast Virginia.

Opportunities in five local hospitals across Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk and Suffolk, with J1 visa support available for limited positions.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Experience as a hospitalist or inpatient care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients admitted to the hospital, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and develop an initial treatment plan
• Manage acute medical conditions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and adjust treatment based on the patient's progress
• Conduct daily rounds, reassess patients, review laboratory and imaging results
• Determine when patients are medically ready for discharge
• Hospitals vary with open and closed ICU's

In this Role:

As a Hospitalist Physician, you will provide comprehensive, longitudinal patient-centered care in an inpatient setting while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team.

• Evaluate patients admitted to the hospital, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and develop an initial treatment plan

• Manage acute medical conditions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and adjust treatment based on the patient's progress
