Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group in Coastal Virginia is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join a busy, well-established medical center with a strong referral network. You will split time between the office and an Ambulatory Surgery Center, performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and managing GI disorders with a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Split time between office and Ambulatory Surgery Center (Endoscopy Suite).
• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic GI disorders including GERD, IBD, IBS, liver disease, colorectal conditions, and more.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and biopsy.
• Interpret results of endoscopic, laboratory, and imaging studies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for GI conditions.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship for an APP.

Responsibilities:

• Split time between office and Ambulatory Surgery Center (Endoscopy Suite)

• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal disorders including GERD, IBD, IBS, live disease, colorectal condition, and more

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including:

  • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)

  • Colonoscopy

  • Polypectomy

  • Biopsy

• Interpret results of endoscopic, laboratory, and imaging studies

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with GI and live conditions

• Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and collaborative support for an APP
