Job summary

BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital – WJMC Campus in Marrero, LA seeks a VP of Nursing Services to lead the Nursing Department under the CEO, directing care to meet federal, state, and facility standards. This executive role ensures patient safety and staff development in a hospital setting.

Bachelor’s in Nursing is required; a Master’s is preferred. Current RN license (state or compact) and at least five years in hospital care with two years in supervision are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current license as Registered Nurse in state of practice and/or active compact license.
• Five years in hospital health care experience preferred; at least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience required.

WhatYou’llBe Doing:

The RN VP of Nursing Services is responsible for working in concert with the Chief Executive Officer and directs the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care per current Federal, State, and facilities standards, guidelines, and regulations. In the absence of the Chief Clinical Officer, the RN VP of Nursing Services assumes the responsibility for center operations. The RN VP of Nursing Services conducts the nursing process - assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation - under the State's Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure scope.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing, preferred.

Licenses/Certification:

Current license as Registered Nurse in the State of practice and/ or has an active compact license in accordance with law and regulations.

Experience:

Five years in hospital health care experience preferred; At least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience required.
