Job summary

BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital – WJMC Campus in Marrero, LA seeks an ICU Registered Nurse to plan and deliver direct and indirect critical patient care. The ICU RN uses the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care in collaboration with patients, families and the care team.

The role requires graduation from an accredited BSN/ADN or Diploma program, current RN licensure, BLS & ACLS (ACLS within 90 days), and at least six months ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
• BLS & ACLS required; ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of six months’ ICU experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect critical patient care through the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with patients, families and interdisciplinary staff; communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and nursing leadership.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure smooth patient transitions.

Shifts Available:Days 7a-730p, Nights 7p-730a

Rate of Pay: $35.00 to $52.79 (plus Shift Diffs as applicable)

PRN Rate of Pay: $45/HR

$10, 000 Sign-on Bonus (limited time!) - Full Time Night Shift Only

What You’ll Be Doing:

Our ICU Registered Nurse RN provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect critical patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. The ICU Registered Nurse RN develops nursing care plans in coordination with patients, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary. The ICU Registered Nurse RN communicates changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate. The ICU Registered Nurse RN participates in discharge planning process.

Requirements:

Education: Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.

Licenses/Certification:Current state licensure as Registered Nurse. BLS & ACLS required. ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of date of hire.

Experience: Minimum of six months’ ICU experience in an acute care setting preferred.
