Job summary

UCSD Hospital seeks a Hospital Unit Service Coordinator to manage provider orders, schedule patient appointments, and coordinate with patients, families, MDs, RNs and other departments. The role supports patient care under licensed personnel and cross-trains to other units as needed.

The position requires comfortable navigation of computer systems and Epic Snapboard, with responsibilities spanning La Jolla and Hillcrest locations to ensure infant security and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years experience as unit secretary/coordinator in a large healthcare setting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and strong data entry.
• superb customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage provider orders and schedule patient appointments.
• Answer telephones and interact with patients, families, MDs, RNs and other departments.
• Provide patient care support under licensed personnel.
• Navigate computer systems and Epic Snapboard; cross-train as needed.
