Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for those hired on or after 6/1/2017.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to input and retrieve data from the organization's computerized systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone and nurse call system; relay messages to patients, visitors and medical staff.
• Direct visitors to patients’ rooms or waiting areas; distribute mail and flowers to patients.
• Compile census and maintain patient records per unit procedures; coordinate with charge nurse for patient flow.
• Maintain filing systems and manage multiple processes; ensure proper recordkeeping and data entry.
• Transport patients and guests within the facility as needed; stock supplies for unit operations.
• Take admission paperwork to rooms and assist with Medicare/important messages and other duties as assigned.
