Qualifications

• Excellent telephone skills and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Answers and directs all telephone calls and overhead paging inquiries for the hospital communications. Triages and prioritizes calls by urgency and routes accordingly.
• Immediately responds to alarms, security calls, and medical emergencies; pages responders; reports issues to supervisor; logs emergency information.
• Maintains and cleans switchboard equipment and resolves malfunctions using defined procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
