Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; basic medical terminology.
• Previous switchboard experience preferred; SPOK console experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer, evaluate and facilitate incoming calls for Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals and affiliated sites.
• Monitor the hospital emergency code phone and document information into the code record.
• Use two-way radio to update hospital security on emergencies.
• Assist in decedent paperwork with Massachusetts death registry website and coordinate decedent transfer with funeral homes.
