Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health Beverly location is seeking a Switchboard Operator to answer and route calls for Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals and related clinics. You will handle emergency code paging, document code details and support security communications.

The role requires a high school diploma and strong communication skills; prior switchboard experience preferred; you will use SPOK console and MS Office; compensation includes a base hourly wage and potential shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service experience; proficient with email, Microsoft Office, and medical terminology.
• Previous switchboard experience preferred.
• SPOK communication console experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer, evaluate and facilitate incoming calls to multiple hospital sites.
• Answer emergency code phone and document code records.
• Monitor alarms and two-way radio to assist security teams.
• Coordinate decedent transfers with funeral homes and complete decedent paperwork.
