Job summary

Surgical Solutions is seeking an OR & Sterile Processing Support professional to ensure smooth operating room operations in a fast-paced hospital environment. You will assist with pre-, intra-, and post-operative tasks and manage instrument and equipment readiness for sterile processing.

You will support surgeons and staff with reliable communication and strict safety compliance, including 24/7 shifts and vaccination requirements. Previous SPD/OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CRCST certification preferred; must be obtained within 120 days.
• 2–5 years of face-to-face customer service experience.
• 1 year OR and/or SPD experience preferred.
• COVID-19 vaccination required.
• Availability for 24/7 hospital coverage including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room Support: set a high standard of performance for staff and peers.
• Pre-Operative Setup: confirm all video and surgical equipment is functional and arrange monitors per surgeon preferences.
• Intra-Operative Support: verify proper connection and operation of equipment and assist staff as needed.
• Post-Operative Turnover: collect and inventory instruments and equipment for cleaning and sterilization.
• Instrument and Equipment Management: maintain decontamination, inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization standards.
• Professional Conduct: provide high-quality service and maintain professional relationships with OR staff.
• Technology Utilization: learn and use required technologies and company devices for systems access.
• Other Responsibilities: support team and hospital operations; manage property responsibly.
