Job summary

Berkshire Medical Center is hiring a Stationary Engineer to ensure safe, reliable operation of the hospital's boiler plant, HVAC, and utility systems. You will monitor, maintain, and control critical plant equipment, supporting patient care and regulatory compliance.

Requirements include at least 3 years in boiler/HVAC operations, BAS experience, and preferably experience in a healthcare setting. The role involves on-site work, on-call coverage, and collaboration with clinical and facilities

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience operating and maintaining boilers, HVAC equipment, central utility plants, or comparable mechanical systems.
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting building automation systems, mechanical equipment, and utility distribution systems.
• Experience responding to equipment alarms, system failures, and facility emergencies.
• Previous experience in an acute care hospital or 24/7 critical operations environment.
• Experience with CMMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain boiler plant and facility utility systems.
• Monitor steam generation, HVAC, and related infrastructure for reliability and safety.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies and support preventive maintenance.
• Document inspections and maintenance activities in CMMS as required.
• Coordinate with clinical staff and leadership for regulatory compliance.
