Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates boilers and related equipment to meet need for steam; adjusts fuel feed and air in furnaces.
• Checks boiler safety shutdown equipment and notifies supervisor of problems.
• Tests boiler water condition and adds chemical treatment to prevent deposits.
• Inspects equipment during operation and makes minor repairs as needed.
• Maintains safety, quality, and infection control standards; follows department policies.
