Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems in Newark, OH seeks a Stationary Engineer Assistant for day shift. Under supervision, you will inspect chillers, boilers, air handling units, and control panels, perform maintenance, and log readings throughout your shift.

You will also support the maintenance and grounds teams, handle filter changes, assist with snow removal in winter, and help with preventive maintenance when the department is closed. A valid Ohio driver's license is required.

Qualifications

Understand, transmit and follow simple oral and/or written instructions.
Up to six months of vocational training.
Up to one year of on-the-job training.
Knowledge of boilers, pumps and valves.
Valid Ohio driver's license.
Accreditation may require annual education.

Responsibilities

Maintain a shift log and perform equipment inspections.
Maintain chemical feed systems and add chemicals as directed.
Clean boiler, boiler room and equipment room; perform custodial tasks.
Perform general maintenance throughout the hospital when the maintenance department is closed.
Clean/replace filter material for air and water systems.
Assist grounds in parking lot, sidewalks and grounds, including snow removal.
Assist Engineer on duty with repairs and preventive maintenance.
