Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, plan and implement treatment for patients with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders. The role supports department program development and ongoing improvements.

Requirements include a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active state license, and CCC-SLP certification or CF eligibility with appropriate supervision; hospital experience and current BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Active state licensure to practice SLP is required.
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA, or SLP-CFs considered case-by-case with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients with speech, language, cognition, swallowing disorders.
• Assist in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs for department enhancement.

Education

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Active license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of anticipated employment

CCC-SLP certification or SLP-CF eligibility
