Job summary

St. Davids North Austin Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Social Worker MSW to perform non-clinical biopsychosocial assessments and interventions on inpatient floors and the ED. The role includes crisis intervention, discharge planning, and referrals for financial or resource assistance.

You will work with the care team to support patient and family-centered care. Qualifications include an MSW and licensure (LCSW/LMSW‑RCSW‑I/LBSW) with at least 3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
• LCSW, LMSW‑RCSW‑I, or LBSW licensure in the state preferred.
• 3 years of relevant social work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with RN case managers, nurses, physicians, insurers and staff to identify and address patient needs.
• Identify and address discharge barriers—financial, emotional, psychosocial, medical and spiritual.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/private payer regulations and managed-care concepts.
