Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside seeks a vigilant security officer to protect patients, staff and visitors. You will staff posts, patrol areas and investigate unusual activity to deter loss and safeguard the facility.

Responsibilities include access control, responding to requests for service, ensuring clear ambulance bays, and providing escorts when needed. NYS licensure as Security Officer is preferred; HS/GED is required; prior security or law enforcement experience is valued.

Qualifications

• HS/GED is required or equivalent.
• Experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
• Current NYS licensure as Security Officer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff assigned post to protect patients, staff and visitors.
• Patrol designated areas and respond to unusual occurrences.
• Assist with access control by checking IDs and screening visitors.
• Direct traffic and ensure ambulance bays are clear.
• Provide escorts and assist on request; maintain security reports.
• Submit timely and complete security activity reports.
