Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is seeking a Security Guard to patrol all hospital areas, deter security incidents, and assist visitors and staff. The role includes reporting, coordination with administration, and occasional dispatch duties.

Qualifications

• Must pass security guard test and/or approved training preferred.
• Ability to drive standard shift cars.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required; knowledge of a second language preferred.
• Must have valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Patrols all areas of Medical Center to prevent security problems.
• Acts as liaison between patients/visitors and the Medical Center.
• Provides regular reports on patient/visitor issues to administration; investigates inquiries.
• Directs cars into available spots and reports parking violations.
• Dispatches responsibilities: answer phones, enter data, monitor cameras and alarms.
• Escorts employees to/from parking and assists in driving assignments as needed.
