Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is hiring a Security Guard to patrol the Medical Center and parking areas, deter security problems, and assist patients and visitors with information and direction. The role involves reporting to administration, coordinating with staff, and responding to incidents in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass security guard test and/or approved training.
• Ability to drive standard shift cars.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Speaks, reads and writes English to required extent; second language preferred.
• Must have valid Driver's License.
• Experience as a security guard preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of Medical Center and parking areas to prevent and detect security problems.
• Act as liaison between patients/visitors and the Medical Center.
• Provide regular reports to administration; investigate inquiries.
• Direct patients and visitors to services; respond when alternatives unavailable.
• Detect violations and coordinate with law enforcement; testify when needed.
• Prepare incident reports and conduct investigations.
